Fantastic day spent at Chester Cathedral Heritage Discovery day.
Medieval Weaponry, cooking, textiles, calligraphy, painting, weaving, mosaics, clay tiles, masonry, stained glass... plus a walk around the living history camps where we met Vikings, Normans and late medieval peoples!
Learnt a lot about medieval building conservation too, and watched some great demonstrations by brilliant practitioners passionate about archaic skills.
